Within the framework of the Fraunhofer “Personal Health” Innovation Cluster, we support companies over the entire life cycle of a product – from the initial idea to development of a concept, execution of a feasibility analysis, implementation, validation and certification all the way to market introduction, marketing and training – always taking the relevant international standards and practices for medical products into account.

Products and Services Offered by the Fraunhofer “Personal Health” Innovation Cluster

At METEAN, we work closely with Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and other partners to test new solutions and devices in terms of their safety, practicability and interoperability in a clinical setting according to the relevant standards. We can assist customers in certification on request.

We offer the following to our customers and partners:

  • Validation Clinical and field trials conducted at METEAN for evaluation of medical devices, equipment and services
  • Research and development R&D services for development of hardware and software, algorithms and sensor modules conforming to standards
  • Consulting Support in solving technical problems and process design
  • Knowledge transfer Target-group-specific preparation of expert knowledge and the latest research results (seminars, workshops, consulting)
  • Presentation and training Demonstration area for medical technology solutions right in the university hospital and training in handling of medical technology devices and systems
  • Membership in Strategical Team
